- optical sensor to be fitted on the inside of the windscreen and detect light levels
- when the light drops the electronic control unit activates the vehicles low-beam and side lights automatically
- when the light brightens the lights are automatically switched off
- the system can be switched off to return to manual mode using a on/off switch on the sensor
